i suspect it's also because it's old news + people dying due to an earthquake is not compelling enough for people to read it.

It seeems like headlines are more like to catch attention and readership rather than the most major/ important news

true, but I suspect it's more a case of blackmail. as in last time they didn't really have a lever, but with the law including women, they can now try to "blackmail" the women into giving or doing things.

look, I also wouldn't read the 50 yr old woman had sex with 9 year old article ok. that's just gross.
